Prayer – Psalm 87

Glorious are you, our Lord God of Jacob. You delight to dwell with your people and live among them. You set apart a people for your glory and priase. You set apart Jerusalem where you placed your name. Now, you have built your Church through your Son and redeep a people for your Glory; to display the riches of your grace.

The cities of earth produce their share of renowned ones and they discuss them amongst themselves, but those born in the city of God are known by God. We are numbered in the rolls of the city. Fame among the population of the world is vanity and it vanishes into nothing at the end of our lives. But, those who are numbered by you have an inheritance incorruptable.

Praise is fitting for you O Lord the redeemed of the Lord will sing and play music for joy of being one of your.
